Patchwork Borders

 Final border prompt - Bramble Blooms     

How funny, in a good way!  The new prompt from Audrey challenges us to add a final border made up of simple patchwork blocks.  Which is exactly what I already did with my 'bricks' !!  I had decided to jump ahead a few weeks ago and add my final border because I was sure about wanting a brick wall ... and here I am, ahead of things!

I already have this layered, and am currently proceeding with hand quilting and binding :)

Architectural interest

This is the final version of my Bramble Blooms project.  It turned out to be an unusual design but I'm quite happy with the way it developed and I don't expect to add anything else.

I'm going to let it simmer for a few days, and then think about layering and quilting.

Moving along

We babysit for several days in a row over the weekends, so my sewing time is always put on hold.  When I come back to it on Mondays, I'm usually feeling interested and refreshed and anxious for creative time.

Today was the perfect sunny peaceful day to resume work on my Bramble Blooms piece.  I had been waiting for Audrey's next prompt, but I realized that I already had a plan in mind for what I wanted to do next.  I now have a wall's-worth of random 'bricks' cut and counted ...
